Kurt Johnson is Senior Vice President of Content and Programming for Townsquare, a leading media and digital marketing company with 357 radio stations across 74 U.S. markets and over 500 live events annually. With over 30 years in broadcasting, Kurt has led top stations in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Dallas, and played a key role in launching the first U.S. Jack FM in Dallas in 2004. He is an expert in a wide array of music formats and genres. A long-time leader in Country music, Kurt is in his eighth year as President of Country Radio Broadcasters and served 13 years on the Country Music Association board. He also sits on the National Radio Hall of Fame board and contributes to the National Association of Broadcasters. Kurt co-founded the All For The Hall Dallas benefit concert, which has raised over $1 million for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. He also co-founded A Special Evening, one of Texas' premier charity events, raising millions for adults with disabilities and featuring artists like Willie Nelson and Tony Bennett. He holds a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin in Civil Engineering and Communications and lives in Dallas with his wife, Terri.
