Joseph Martin is a lifelong advocate for Canadian music and culture. Following a decade and a half of touring and recording with indie bands, Joseph joined the music BC Board of Directors in 2015. This turned into full time work in the industry after joining the 604 Media Group in Vancouver in 2016. Jospeh has now been with 604 and Light Organ records for 9 years working in artist development and management and now label management. His role includes signing and developing of artists, marketing, fiscal management and leading a team of project managers and a roster of over a dozen artists. In addition to label and management services he produces Light Organ's annual Summerlight indie rock festival. Outside of his work with 604 Records, he sat on the 2024 Juno Host committee and produced the BC regional Let's Hear it Live tour. He currently sits on the board of directors for Vancouver's East Side Arts Society and holds a seat on the Vancouver Music Task force, a group that consults quarterly with the City of Vancouver. Joseph holds a Bachelors in Jazz performance with a minor in legal studies from Capilano University.
