The Indiana Drones started as the solo project of singer/songwriter Justin in 2017, crafting indie rock songs under a band name that didn’t quite have a band—until now. After years of self-released tracks and growing momentum, the project evolved into a full-fledged group in 2024 with the addition of three new members. The expanded lineup brought fresh energy and new dynamics, culminating in the band’s self-titled debut album, The Indiana Drones, out now. Blending raw hooks, layered guitars, and a touch of nostalgia, the band carves out a sound that’s both familiar and distinctly their own. With a second album nearly finished, the Indiana Drones are proving that this is just the beginning.
