Tope Babalola is a Nigerian-Canadian filmmaker and digital content creator, having amassed over 2.7 million followers across YouTube and TikTok with his comedy skits. Tope graduated from Sheridan’s Advanced Television and Film Program and has written, directed and produced a handful of narrative short films. His detective noir comedy The Delivery (2023) won the award for Excellence in Cinematography at Buffer Film Festival in 2023, and was named an Official Selection at both the Toronto Short Film Festival and Miami Film Festival in 2024. His latest short Or Forever Hold Your Peace—a chaotic wedding romantic comedy—premiered at the Miami Film Festival in 2025 and is continuing its festival run. Tope was named one of Playback Magazine’s 10 Filmmakers to Watch in 2022. He is developing a handful of feature films and television series, one of the latter being a coming-of-age young teen mystery series called Benjamin Ojo, which was made a finalist at the Big Pitch @ TIFF Competition in 2024.
