Toronto-based alt-indie band Tiger Balme combines the grounding forces of drums, guitar, and bass with shimmering vibraphone, harp, and soaring harmonies to create sonic spaces of tender resilience. Composed of Asian-identifying women and non-binary musicians, the band released their debut album, the self-titled Tiger Balme, in 2022. Their music has received national radio play (CBC Music, CBC Radio One, CJRU) and coverage (CBC, Range, Dominionated). Their warm performance style has seen them fill venerated Toronto venues with local and international acts, and they have taken the stage at NXNE, Venus Fest, POP Montreal, ROM After Dark and Hugh’s Room Live.
