Shanta Prince began her career as a backing vocalist for various bands and artists, including Barbadian talents Rupee and Biggie Irie. She soon emerged into the spotlight with her two releases, “Island Girl” and “Blind to See.” Throughout her journey, she has collaborated with notable artists such as Jamaican dancehall sensation Macka Diamond, as well as Barbados’ own Lil’ Rick and Peter Ram. Her production team features Barbados’ Dwain “Dwaingerous” Antrobus, Trinidad’s Kurtis Wells, known as London Future, and Canadian James DePinho of Beta One Music. Shanta boasts an impressive body of work, which includes popular singles like “Stush,” “Drip,” and “Hello,” the latter of which received a two-year Caribbean endorsement from FLOW Telecommunications. Other notable releases include “Till Morning,” “Expensive Liquor,” and anthems for women, “Throw Wine” and “Rude Gyal."
