Neesha Hothi, principal of Neesh Communications - a boutique agency specializing in entertainment, lifestyle, and not-for-profits - is a published author, award-winning marketer, cultural champion, and recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal for outstanding service. For over two decades, Neesha has been a fierce South Asian arts advocate. She began producing outdoor festivals while in university, building bridges between ethnic and mainstream communities. While PR and Event Manager for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Superstore, she also founded one of Vancouver’s first ethnic agencies, guiding major corporations on authentically connecting with South Asian audiences. And simultaneously helping South Asian organizations professionalize and secure major funding. Today, she continues to mentor artists and organizations on industry navigation and multi-stakeholder engagement. Neesha has supported storytelling for artists from the legendary Malkit Singh to the contemporary Chani Nattan and classical icon AR Rahman. Her festival credits span Sunburn, desiFEST, 5X Fest, Centre of Gravity, and Rifflandia across North America and India. As Director of Marketing for the Vancouver JUNO Host Committee, Neesha was instrumental in cultivating South Asian representation across JUNO Week. Aware of the necessity to build cultural infrastructure, Neesha continues to tell the stories that open doors and shape the future music industry.
