Kayla Diamond is a producer, songwriter and label owner based in Montreal and Toronto. Kayla decided to leave law school after landing her first record deal in 2016, a move that secured a top 30 on the Canadian Billboard radio charts with her debut single, “Carnival Hearts”. As a result, she was nominated at the Canadian Radio Music Awards that year alongside Jessie Reyez etc. After “Carnival Hearts”, she released “What You’re Made Of”, which earned her first Canadian Billboard Top 10. The vast experience of being an artist has helped Kayla pave her path towards her true passion, that is producing, writing for, and developing artists. With a unique ability to understand every role of the writing room and play multiple instruments, Kayla has proven herself to be a prominent songwriter and producer among the pop, indie and dance world. Her collaborations with Alex Schulz, Kiso Armic, Vanillaz and Anevo have earned her over 70M cross-platform streams, steady radio play and recognition from the likes of Gareth Emery, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Hardwell, and many more. Throughout her career she has also had multiple placements in several tv shows including NBC's "The Voice", Netflix's "My Little Pony", "The Ultimatum", "The Kardashians" and the trailer for the Korean hit tv series "Love Alarm" etc. Kayla is one of the youngest female producers in Canada with credits ranging from the Strumbellas, to Sofia Camara, to Dom Vallie. She has also scored custom soundtrack for the upcoming Rebel Wilson film, “Bride Hard” set for theatrical release in June 2025. Kayla’s built a strong reputation as someone who understands pop structure, shock-value lyrics, and is often brought into sessions to fortify hooks. In 2023, she became the youngest female label owner in Canada, when she started Kolossal Records, a JV with The Orchard. Her recent successes include celebrating a number one record on the CBC Top 20 for "Hold Me" by the Strumbellas, which is currently on cross-platform rotation, and a Juno nomination for Rap Album of the Year, "See You When I See You' by Dom Vallie.
