Amy Craze

Amy Craze's lyrics weave intricate tales of love, heartache, and fury, captivating listeners with haunting resonance and dulcet melodies that ebb and flow in sweet crescendos, leaving them breathless and wanting more. Influenced by traditional British folk and rock, along with her deep love for blues and soul, Amy’s sound is a seamless blend of genres that carries its own unmistakable allure. Upon graduating from Queen’s University, Amy secured an artist development deal with CoeHill Entertainment. While recording her demos, she obtained an internship at Madonna's Maverick Records in Los Angeles to learn about the inner workings of the recording industry. Upon returning to Toronto, her song ""Before the Rain"" earned her the Toronto Indie Artists Vocalist of the Year award, leading to a collaboration with Jeff Bird of The Cowboy Junkies, who produced her subsequent EP. Not long after, Amy was invited to join Margo Timmins of The Cowboy Junkies as a backup vocalist. Her latest album, Lead the Storm, recorded, mixed, and mastered by John Jamieson at Soundhouse Studios, introduces a fresh texture to the indie folk rock genre. Amy Craze enhances Toronto's vibrant music scene through her monthly residency at The Rivoli, as co-founder of The Sundown Sessions, a series dedicated to showcasing emerging indie artists across various city venues, thereby fostering a dynamic community for local talent.
